Is Jesus Christ really the only way to God?
He has said so in clear & unmistakable terms. [John 14:6] Faith is no more valid than for the object in which it is placed. If we consider the man Jesus Christ; His works and teachings to be trustworthy, than it would follow that His claims are also reliable.
The church seems to be dead. Maybe God is too?
Much of what flaunts the label church or chapel or temple or assembly or fellowship is quite and long dead. However, it does not follow that the God of all creation has likewise succumb. His invisible presence and ineffable power are descried (revealed, discovered) in His works and grace (gifts).The universe entirely speaks of Him, and all of its movements garner His aide. What does not abide in Him is consumed by death.[John 15:1-6; Romans 1:20-21]
I ask, Why? Why are our children struggling with drugs and not being close to the Lord, because they have been brought up in the church and know right from wrong. I see children that haven’t been raised by Christian values, and they are doing great. I am desperate.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.[Proverbs 22:6] This is a true statement. There are ways to miss its application & promise.
The promise is for training, and not in doctrines, rules, standards or "Christian values".
Institutional church forms are not readily prepared to provide more than a token in training -- they are unequipped against training deficits & divergences received by children vis-à-vis public institutions, in the world and/or at home.Private/parochial school may fail to train up a child, as education is not the same as training.
Knowing right from wrong, good and evil, darkness and light, does not say for which or what a person may undertake. The right decision does NOT follow from the right knowledge, as the poor choice from Genesis chapter 3 reveals. (Knowledge is not the same as training.)

report from the fields [Santiago, CHILE]: This last week has been pretty amazing. We have done a lot of ministry in homes and praying for people on the street. One day we hiked up to the top of one of the mountains and had some prayer time and continued with some Bible teaching on God being our rewarder. The view was incredible, but I've been sore for a couple day now. One day we were invited to minister in the local government building in the city of Donihue (pronounced: dough-knee-who). I was able to share the gospel with about 20 government employees and several of them came forward for prayer. It's amazing how the Lord has given us favor and they actually invited us to come back again.

Now, the figure settled on his lees here depicts that of vinegar which was supposed to be made into wine but had settled for too long on the lees. Much of it was his interaction with God which he refered to as "wisdom" rather than the Lord. … you can read something from someone else that has also had their encouters with the Lord and it is a totally different light. KNOW THE PROPHET
BEWARE of embellishments, things contrary to the Word/Christ, or of pointing toward a wayother than Christ(i.e., fear, inward focus,powers of the Adversary, etc.)
AWARE how the gifts & callings of God are without repentance:a prophet may speak the Word of the Lord, while themselves being far down to wandering or sin.
In these end times we are going to need spiritually mature people
that operate in the gift of discernment. There is a verse that talks
about this, Jeremiah 12:5.
"If you have run with footmen and they have tired you out, Then how
can you compete with horses? If you fall down in a land of peace, How
will you do in the thicket of the Jordan?"
I think we can all discern something isn't right when a wacko comes
into the church claiming the Pastor is the anti-Christ. The nut case
that predicted the world would end earlier this year would be another
good example. Any person living in a compound claiming to be Jesus
isn't going to fool anyone who moves in the Spirit. These types of
things would examples of footmen in the church. The Horsemen the enemy
is bringing will be able to deceive even those who move in the Spirit.
Unless we have those in the body that move in the gift of discernment.
Who is the enemy targeting with high level deception? Satan's game
is at it's best it is when he is using unwitting Christians to further
his own purposes.
3 targeted areas :
1. People we are in relationship with. The type of high level
deception that is coming will not come from obvious cases or outside
the church. It is going to come from within the church, people within
our own number. These will be people we are in relationship with that
we like. Paul talks about this in Acts 20:29-31.
“I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among
you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will
arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.
Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for a period
of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears.”
Paul says that he admonished them for three years, day and night
with tears. This is a terrifying thing. Western Christians are cowards
when it comes to conflict. They value relationship over doctrine almost
every time. Christians will go with false prophets or teachers to
preserve the relationship, which will permanently damage or shipwreck
their faith. False prophets or teachers have something about them that
is likeable. They are sociable, they watch people kids or have people
over for dinner. Church leaders will try to keep them in the church to
work with them. This is incredibly dangerous because if they are
allowed to stay they will do incredible damage to the body.
A good example would be introducing people to spiritual things
without laying a foundation of repentance from sin. I know some people
who's approach to getting people out of sin is only telling them about
their inheritance in God. You don't really even need to tell people
about hell because if they don't want all the things the King has to
offer. They won't want to follow anyway. This is a high level deception
because the kingdom of God is not accessible without repentance. I have
an acquaintance that was introduced to some spiritual things and
started to get off int some weirdness. No one laid out the Gospel and
repentance from sin. He refused to repent and is now denying the Lord.
Rob Bell is another good example of this, he has a gentle
personality and a very gentle disposition. People who read his book
Love Wins become convinced that hell isn't real. I have had a couple of
conversations with people that have read it. They say “It is hard to
explain. It doesn't make since unless you read the book”. This is a
high level deception because If I read the book that is basically
casting a spell on myself. Only a high level deception could cause
believers to go against something clearly stated in the Bible.
2. The enemy is targeting us in the emotional realm. Deception feeds
off of emotional trauma. American culture values intellectualism and is
full of kidults. Adults who main goal in life is to play and accomplish
nothing. This is also true for the western church. There is no one
capable of teaching others how to deal with emotional trauma. Emotional
pain is intense, we tend to agree with whatever we are feeling. If
someone is feeling worthless, they say “I must be worthless”. This is
agreement with deception that wraps around their identities and allows
demons to oppress them. People think a quick deliverance session or
prophetic word will fix this. It won't. It requires a commitment to the
long haul to get freedom from this sort of thing. If you are praying
for healing and nothing is working. How are you going to tell if it is
a demon is inflicting the person? We are going to need people who are
mature in discernment to be more effective in setting people free.
We need to learn how to process our emotional pain. If we use
fleshly methods we put our emotions away in boxes or locks on our
heart. This only postpones dealing with the issue, depending on how
traumatizing the event, we will continue to relive it through dreams
and flashbacks. This is typified with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome If
we learn to deal with this, we will be able to handle trauma, and
persecution when it comes. Jesus was able to suffer for His Father and
not come out a wounded, emotional wreck. How was it that Jesus was able
to bear the sins of the world and not need a psychologist and
medication? How is it that Paul was able to endure stoning and lashes
and rejoice? We are a spoiled and pampered people that need to feel
good all the time. Until we are willing to lay down our pampered flesh,
we will not be able to labor in the fields for God's harvest.
If the enemy can get us at an early age from 1 to 5 he can do the
most damage. At this age we are like wet cement. The enemy can plant
deception at a primal level at this age. Whatever we experience becomes
normal. John was telling us most of the people he worked with that were
sexually abused had it done to them between the ages of 1 to 5. Most of
our prayer and our ministry doesn't target kids at this age. We wait
till they are teens or adults to pick up the pieces. It will be crucial
to be able operate in the spirit of discernment to catch these things
because kids can't communicate. We will need prophetic strategy of the
Lord to deal with deception on this level.
3. The enemy is targeting our view of the end times. Only in the
west and a few other places has the church not moved underground and
endured persecution. This is on the way. God told John in a dream to
prepare the church to move underground. I believe this will happen in
America. Our society is quickly moving towards this reality. Right now
the enemy is releasing high level of deception in the church regarding
how we are to interact with our government. The enemy is setting the
world up for an a one world anti-Christ system. We need to be prepared
for this.
Pre-tribulation doctrine is a good example of this high level
deception. The doctrine states that the Lord will return to remove
believers before the tribulation. This goes against most of Jesus
teaching on suffering in the Bible. Only in the western church culture
could this doctrine become prevalent. Most of the church is already
under persecution and Martyrdom. This could be a set up for the great
apostasy. If western Christians enter persecution and are not taken
out. They will likely leave the church aligning themselves with the
anti-Christ world system because they are offended with Jesus.
Christian Politics. This is a insidious one because most of the
Christians I know who can hear God's voice have fallen victim to it.
Politicians know they can manipulate Christians into voting for them by
calling for prayer rallies or pro life social justice movements. I was
involved in the “Life” movement which is a legitimate movement to pray
for the end of abortion. Many prophetic words went out saying the next
president would end abortion. That didn't happen and the movement went
belly up because corrupt politicians used it to get voted in. Governor
Rick Perry recently called a prayer rally and then declared his
candidacy for the President of the United States. Shouldn't it be
obvious? Sadly not.
You may say to me “God uses unrighteous men for righteous purposes
or we are using them to pray for the nation.” We can do this but are
you really getting the full picture of what is happening here? Hitler
knew how to manipulate the churches to side with him before he began
the slaughter of the Jews. Those who didn't side with him disappeared.
Satan is moving all the governments of the world towards a one world
system. This is a test for the government to know who they can
manipulate to get on their side for when they instigate the change that
will cause the church to go underground. Do not be deceived.
John was telling us about his experience with some people who hold
the seven mountain view of culture transformation. There are seven
mountains of culture that the church can influence for the Gospel. This
is solid teaching and prophetic revelation but some people get off into
dominion theology. This is theology states that the church will
eventually take over the governmental systems of the world to prepare
for the return of Jesus. John was sent over to pray for the silk road
in China by some of these guys. He didn't know why till he asked them,
they said they wanted to reverse the million man army that is supposed
to march through there with a 100 million evangelists. The word clearly
states the 100 million man army must happen.
This is high level deception because it is trying to change events
that God told us must happen in the book of Revelation. Any prophetic
revelation that contradicts or changes scripture is false revelation.
This is an opposite end of the spectrum from the pre-tribulation
doctrine snare. Disillusionment will come because God didn't transform
the culture into a righteous paradise through prophetic revelation and
prayer strategy. These people will most likely be taken out by the
anti-Christ because they didn't go underground and didn't expect the
government to betray them.
The enemy is coming with high level deception to try and deceive the
elect. Jesus said it would happen and we need to be prepared. The
church needs to have spiritually mature people that can use the gift of
discernment to keep deception from destroying the church.
Several people in my church are reading the book Simple Church. We may implement the concept of it to our church. Reverend Tom Hall spoke to us about the concept and a few people have been doing seminars on it. My church is Methodist and we have several parishioners who are 60 to 90 years old including myself at 60. I am a long time Methodist who grew up in this church. I am now involved with activities of the church and would hate to see my church fold after some 130 years. We do have some young people who go but are not active members [of our church] yet. He [Rev. Hall] has begun the concept in his church there or is working on it at least. My church does so much for the community and around the world in fact one couple has been to Angola a few times and she was to Haiti in 2010 an they both will go in June 2012. They love doing mission work and are great people, they work Chrysalis and Emmaus programs. Since my 2008 walk I have been involved with both as well in fact my church sent 5 youth to Chrysalis this year. Anyway that was why I was interested in Simple Church since I haven't read the book yet. So I looked online to see if there was anything on it.
